Light and volatile, with tendrils like wisps of hair or swirling incense, this paper panel presents two very different versions of itself. Turned off, each line stands out in high relief, evocative of tracks in the snow. Turned on, the hollowed edges of the paper disappear, only the fine lines of light remain.
Perspective effect, the tendrils at the bottom are at the vanishing point of the picture. The graphic density intensifies as the tendrils climb, growing thicker and closer to the eye.
Paper engraving, a technique of my own invention, transforms the surface of the paper into streaks of cottony frost.
